Weekly Wrap Up from Jacob
Only one word could describe this week: Jesus. He completely orchestrated everything that went on this week and set up divine appointments for each and every person on this trip to experience His glory. The nice accommodations and the people at The Surf Shack made this trip so much easier and made all of us feel welcome. God really revealed himself to us through the beautiful country of Panama and all of the people we came in contact with. Only God could've planned this trip to where we had the privilege of presenting the gospel to about 770 Panamanian children. The children were so joyful to see a group from the US come and make rabbit puppets, sing songs, and tell stories with them. It was our pleasure to come and simply share the love of Christ with them through stories, crafts, and songs. The Louderbacks were such a huge help on this trip and welcomed us with enthusiasm, ready to spread the gospel throughout the schools. It was such a joy watching Mr. Tim, Mrs. Tina, Trinity, Gracie Lynn, Noah and Eden speak fluently in Spanish and connect in an awesome way with everyone we came in contact with. I can honestly speak for our whole group and say that we are so proud to call the Louderbacks a part of our church family. God has blessed their ministry and even this week, a door was opened for them to further their ministry in an area called Santa Fe. The translators that got to come with us were absolutely amazing and were a gift from God. The Lord definitely instilled in them a passion to witness to people and it was so cool watching them share the gospel along with the Bible study leaders. Long story short, we will only know when we get to Heaven the impact that we made here in Panama. Although, I know if you ask anyone that went on this trip, they would have many stories to tell of how God revealed himself to them. The impact this trip had on our lives is evident in the stories that we have. Pray and think about the impact this trip may have had on the hundreds of kids we came in contact with. God is good and our lives were changed. Thank you God, Louderbacks, Derek and Audrey, Cavin and Charlotte, and the missionaries involved at the Surf Shack for this wonderful trip.
