The Team has prayerwalked about 10 blocks this morning as well as Omar Park. After a quick lunch the team went up to Ancon Hill to pray over the city. The Lord blessed with no rain to dampen spirits although we all were quite damp from the inside due to the heat. The view from the top over all of Panama is spectacular. A long time of prayer last night, this morning, and this afternoon is challenging and difficult for us all to keep focus and pray for specifics for the team.
The team is going to eat Panamainan food tonight. We are all in good spirits and well. We are realizing the huge task of reaching a very secular society where money and leisure are god. We are Praising the Lord for all of the blessing in our lives but realize how silly anything is compared to the riches of knowing Christ.
Our interactions with a group of workers of the Goodwill Stores of Panama answered some questions for Linda Lipp who operatews our Father's Hands In Powder Springs. She had no sooner ask our IMB Missionary about were there "Thrift stores in Panama" when we came across two young people working as the attendents at a collection location for Good will. What an answer to prayer. We prayed with the young man and woman and when we passed by a few minutes later they called us back over to pray for us.
The Lord is working in Panama and we are asking him to light fires in people's hearts. Join us as we pray this week.
