Today started out with a Testimony and the driving passion from David. David is the church planter. He works with Tim and Tina Louderback. They work together on how to start more Bible Study small groups. He works in Curundo, which is a inner city project in Panama City, Panama. This is a very poor and dangerous place.
"Together We Can" is the name of the community center where David works. This place offers help to students that will hopefully lead them out of the inner city. They get tutoring, they can get their GED, play, get support and lots of love. David travels 2 hours one way each day to work. Pray for David and his ministry in Curundo.
This morning myself, Tina C., Tina L., Laura, David, and two armed police took a walk through the village of Curundo. What an eye opening and heart breaking experience it was for the women and myself to see firsthand. Having never seen anything like this before it is hard to even imagine. These people have so little and yet they seem to have this spirit about them that keeps them going. These people are surrounded by filth, drugs, violence, and poverty everyday. This is why, what David and his staff do at the Together We Can shelter is so important. It offers a safe haven for these kids to go to during the day, as well as an opportunity for the Gospel to be shared. God is moving in this village through the works of this community center. We had a chance to worship with the older kids this afternoon, and wow did they worship. Our team is so blessed to have had the opportunity to be with the people of Curundo. It is going to be so awesome to see God move throughout this village and change the hearts of these people one at a time.

I had the opportunity to have personal time with David B and his wife, Marienella, and their ministry SCORE International, which uses sports as an avenue to share Christ with children. We spoke about how possibly John Rainey and I could partner with them in the future. David and Marienella shared the best way to help them right now is prayer. We will be in continuous prayer for them and will be assisting them in any way we can. They provided me with their e-mail address and website. These two missionaries raise their own funds and provide this ministry on their own. If anyone is interested, I can share what thier needs are. God is working through these two people. David played professional soccer so his influence and popularity make it a great way to share the gospel with the children of Panama.

Some of our group played games and did arts and crafts, while others were painting in the Center.
The day ended by attending a youth worship service in the center. What a way to end the day.
Also want to mention one other thing we were able to do. In the middle of the day, by the goodness of Tim Louderback we were able to visit the Panama Canal, and see two ships pass through the Canal. AWESOME!!!
Most of all Pray for Tim, Tina, Trinity, Noah, Gracie Lynn, and Eden (and their team) as they minister in Panama. Pray for their safety, wisdom, relationship and for opportunity to reach many for Christ.
